What does the payment process look like?
We charge $500 to reserve a puppy, and the remainder upon pickup. The total cost per puppy will vary by the litter.
Can I come see my puppy?
Performance Retrievers is located in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. As part of the process of purchasing a puppy, we will send you our address so you can visit, choose, and pick up your puppy!
Can I choose my puppy?
Yes! However, first come first serve in order of reservation.
If something happens to my puppy prior to pickup, will I get a refund?
If your puppy becomes sick prior to pickup, or if there is an insufficient number of your requested sex in the litter, the full amount will be refunded or applied to the next litter at your preference.
What are the letters before/after the names?
In short, they are titles that a dog has earned, sometimes through field trials or hunt tests. Below is a list of some commonly seen titles and their meanings:
MH- Master Hunter
MNH- Master National Hunter
QA2- Qualifed All Age
SHR- Started Hunting Retriever
What if I want to get rid of my puppy?
We understand that unfortunate circumstances happen. If you find yourself unable to care for your puppy after pick-up, please contact us. Rather than send your dog to a shelter, we will happily take your puppy back.
